This is a replacement soft top only (no window) for the Rabbit, Cabriolet, Golf I produced in Haartz Stayfast Canvas to exacting standards using CNC cutting technology and comes with embossed side quarters to replicate the OEM part.
We generally stock the original colours offered by Volkswagen however if you would like something custom made in a different colour or material please get in touch with us and will endeavour to help.

Allow approximately 6 hours for the installation. While a basic installation guide is included, we do recommend professional installation from one of our authorised installers. That said, many of our customers have installed their own parts and been happy with the result. It depends largely on your patience and level of practical experience.
Stayfast, for many decades, was OEM material of choice for many makes and models. Unlike Mohair, sometimes referred to as its British competitor, Stayfast has outstanding UV resistance ideal for the Australian climate. It utilises an acrylic square weave facing, rubber inner-layer, and cotton backing, giving the material a good amount of stretch to really facilitate the perfect look and fit. Thickness is ~1.0mm. Stayfast canvas resists colour fading and shrinking far better than vinyls do. It also remains more pliable at lower temperature resisting creases and wrinkles common with vinyls making it an excellent upgrade in many applications.
