This is a replacement rear tension cable for the Rabbit, Cabriolet, Golf I manufactured in stainless steel wire to precise standards and come with factory style fixings to replicate the Volkswagen original part.
Rear base cable with plastic cover measures 94.5″ long.
Allow approximately 0.5 hours for the installation. There is no installation guide included, we therefore recommend professional installation from one of our authorised installers. That said, many of our customers have installed their own parts and been happy with the result. It depends largely on your patience and level of practical experience.
This wire is a fine strand coated, highly flexible stainless-steel rope. At roughly 1.2mm in thickness it offers superior corrosion and fatigue resistance when compared to the plastic-coated steel solution used by most OEM manufacturers.
