This is a replacement soft top only (no window) for the Cabrio, Golf Mk III produced in Haartz Cabrio Vinyl to exacting standards using CNC cutting technology and comes with side embossing to replicate the OEM part.
We generally stock the original colours offered by Volkswagen however if you would like something custom made in a different colour or material please get in touch with us and will endeavour to help.
Reuse factory glass and seal. Heat sealed embossed quarters, rear mounting cable and front pocket.
Cabriolet vinyl material is available in wide width, no centre deck seams are added like the original.
Other colours will also require centre deck to have two (2) side seams.
Allow approximately 6 hours for the installation. While a basic installation guide is included, we do recommend professional installation from one of our authorised installers. That said, many of our customers have installed their own parts and been happy with the result. It depends largely on your patience and level of practical experience.
Formerly specified for over a decade in OEM applications the Cabrio Vinyl is the material favourite choice for the NA and NB MX-5 car owners. With a 2-ply construction comprising of a textured PVC outer face and cotton backing it was used by brands such as Ford, Mazda, Toyota and VW from 1989 to 2005.
