This is a replacement pair of rear tension cables for the 280SL,350SL, 380SL, 450SL, 500SL, 560SL (BS-107) manufactured in stainless steel wire to precise standards to replicate the Mercedes original part.
Side tension cables measures 28.25″ long.
Allow approximately 0.5 hours for the installation. There is no installation guide included, we therefore recommend professional installation from one of our authorised installers. That said, many of our customers have installed their own parts and been happy with the result. It depends largely on your patience and level of practical experience.
This wire is a fine strand coated, highly flexible stainless-steel rope. At roughly 1.2mm in thickness it offers superior corrosion and fatigue resistance when compared to the plastic-coated steel solution used by most OEM manufacturers.
