This is a replacement heated hard glass only for the XJS (Hess & Eisenhardt Conversion) produced in Haartz Stayfast Canvas to exacting standards using CNC cutting technology and comes with exposed trim along bottom edge to replicate the OEM part.
We generally stock the original colours offered by Jaguar however if you would like something custom made in a different colour or material please get in touch with us and will endeavour to help.
We require you old glass window to manufacture this part.
Please allow approximately 5 hours for the installation. This part is NOT recommended for DIY installation and we therefore strongly recommend professional installation from one of our authorised installers. Step-by-step instruction are not included with this item.
Stayfast, for many decades, was OEM material of choice for many makes and models. Unlike Mohair, sometimes referred to as its British competitor, Stayfast has outstanding UV resistance ideal for the Australian climate. It utilises an acrylic square weave facing, rubber inner-layer, and cotton backing, giving the material a good amount of stretch to really facilitate the perfect look and fit. Thickness is ~1.0mm. Stayfast canvas resists colour fading and shrinking far better than vinyls do. It also remains more pliable at lower temperature resisting creases and wrinkles common with vinyls making it an excellent upgrade in many applications.
The glass used for the window is fully DOT compliant toughened safety glass that meets Australian Standards for automotive use. It is designed for maximum strength but if impacted will break into small safe pieces.
