This is a replacement pair of tension straps for the 3 Series, 318i, 320i,325i,328i M3 – E36 manufactured in webbing to precise standards and comes with spring steel and elastic sections like OEM to replicate the BMW original part.
Replacing these when changing the soft top is a must, the correct operation of the roof will be compromised if they are not replaced. Note: Replacing them with the top already fitted to the car is a difficult 5 hour job. Replacing them when replacing the roof only takes 1 hour.
Please allow approximately 5 hours for the installation. While this part is not difficult to install it does not come with a step-by-step instruction book and we therefore recommend professional installation from one of our authorised installers.
A dyed woven nylon that provides outstanding tensile strength for its weight and used in locations on a soft top frame to govern bow positions and provide correct roof geometry for the soft top to function and sit correctly.
